When in the reports view, you can easily define a custom report.
To create a new report:
- Enter the reports view (for example, in the projects list, click a project and then, in the toolbar above the list, click see reports).
- Click the reports tab.
- Click create custom report.
- Set the report options, as described below.
- Click create.

Enter a name for the report (this is mandatory, although the name does not have to be unique). |

Display question header |
Choose to either show the question alias or the question text. |

Display data (single/multiple/slider/ranking questions) |
Applies to single-coded, multi-coded, slider and ranking questions. Determines the format of the data displayed in the report:

Display 'selected' for multi questions |
Applies to multi-coded questions. Overrides the Display data setting and displays binary 1/0 for multiple choice questions. Giving 1 for selected choices and 0 for non-selected ones. |

Report language |
Choose the language of the question text and choice labels that will be displayed in the report. The default language is Survey default that is the language of the script. All survey translations are available in the drop down |
|
Time & date format |
Defines the format for time and date questions included in the report. The format can be set freely in the open field. You can specify different format for Meta-data and the survey answers. |

Meta-data |
Select the meta-data items, including local variables, to be included in the report as columns in the report. You can quickly select all (or none) of the meta-data items by selecting meta-data (select all/none). For details of each of the meta-data items, please see report columns below. Tip: To include global variables in the report, you should save its value in a local variable within the survey. |

Question list |
Select the questions you want to include in the report. You can quickly select all (or none) of the questions by selecting questions (select all/none). |
|
Include media |
If this option is selected, you will get a zip file containing both the CSV report and any images, videos and audio recordings uploaded by respondents when you download the report. |
|
Resources as URLs |
Include URL for each media file on the report. The URLs are accessible also without logging in to the dashboard. |
|
Remote server |
When you specify a remote server, the data is automatically pushed to it, in JSON or CSV format. See "Pushing response data to a remote server" on this page: Report APIs |

Report columns
You can choose to add any of the following meta-data as a column in your report, by selecting the corresponding box.

| Entry ID | A unique ID, that distinguishes each entry in the report (each survey run). |

Entry Type |
Indicates the entry type (this is the status code assigned to each data entry coming from a mobile device). The possible entry types are as follows: Complete: an accepted entry, where the respondent is qualified for the study and he has completed all the questions.

| Username |
This is the username used by the respondent to log in into the app (it is unique per respondent). |
| Upload time | The time when this entry was uploaded to the server. |
|
Start time |
The time when the respondent started making this entry. |
|
End time |
The time when the respondent completed the survey (i.e. finished the last entry, before the upload). |
| Device Timezone | The time zone of the respondent's device. |
| Device Timezone offset |
The time zone, in the format of GMT offset (e.g. GMT+2 for Finland). |
| Survey revision | The revision number of the survey, as stated in the survey XML (this is useful if you modified your survey after some entries were made). |
| Survey wave | The wave number, as stated in the survey XML. |
| Length (sec) |
The duration of the entry in seconds. If surveys are paused, the pause time is not taken into account. |
| Entry location | The GPS location of the respondent (longitude and latitude). |

Raw location data |
String containing the raw location data as uploaded from the device. |

| Geo-fence name | Name of the geo-fence that generated the survey entry . For further details on Geo-location reports, please see Geo-location reports. |

| App version | The version of the QMob app used to take this survey (e.g. 3.0). |
| OS name | The Operating System of the respondent's device (e.g. Android). |
| OS version | The version of the Operating System of the respondent's device (e.g. 6.0.1). |
| Device make | The name of the respondent's device manufacturer (e.g. Apple). |
| Device model | The name of the respondent's device model (e.g. iPhone7,2). |

The device type report column displays the model of the respondent's device. iOS devices return things like "iPhone7,2" (see the list below) while Android devices return a model name or number.
